As a Council, we applaud the strides that many of our Sisters are making in the industry today. By supporting and empowering women who are interested in exploring a career in the trades. We are proud of the impact our Carpenters are making on and off the jobsite, through mentoring and working together to shape the next generation of Female Union Carpenters. Oregon SB 426 Testimony

Last week, Oregon Union Carpenters made their voices heard in support of Bill SB426 at the Oregon Senate! This crucial bill aims to hold criminal contractors accountable by implementing safeguards to protect workers from wage theft. The bill is currently being revised before it’s presented. Local 59 helps restore Baseball Dugout

Washington Carpenters of Local 59 volunteered over the weekend at the Kennewick National Youth Baseball diamonds. The league was in need of volunteers to restore their team dugouts. Carpenters answered the call and came together to ensure that players and spectators have updated facilites for many more games.
