9th Annual National Apprenticeship Week

National Apprenticeship week celebrates the different career paths that non-traditional apprenticeships offer. This year National Apprenticeship week is from November 13-19th it is the perfect time to get informed about career possibilities in the Trades. If you are interested in beginning your career as an apprentice, visit the Southwest Mountain States Carpenters Training Fund for more resources.

Veterans Day

Western States Carpenters Local 951 and Local 909 volunteers honored veterans at a flag placement event over the weekend. Over 100 Union Carpenters and their families helped place miniature American flags on the gravesites of fallen service members at Riverside National Cemetery. Carpenters look forward to participating in this event every year.

Toy Drives

The season of giving is fast approaching, and Locals across the Western States are beginning to collect unwrapped toy donations for the holidays. The toys being collected will be given to children in need, donated to schools, hospitals, and charitable organizations. Check with your Local or Women’s Auxiliary for more information on their Toy Drive drop-off locations.
