WSRCC Top Three: Week of October 21st

Here is the Top Three week of October 21st.

GOTV Rally Local 661
Sylmar and Los Angeles County Union Carpenters joined WSRCC Vice President Frank Zambrano at Local 661 to stand in solidarity with George Whitesides Congressional Candidate for District 27 this past Saturday. Nearly 100 members and their families were in attendance at the Rally to hear from their elected officials ahead of election day. With turfs and lawn signs in hand, Union Carpenters set out after the rally to go member to member in their communities in support of those that support us.

WA Ballot Drop: Local 206 and Local 425
Ballots are arriving at members’ homes across the WSRCC, ready to shape the future of our nation. Washington Locals 425 and 206 recently hosted Get Out the Vote (GOTV) ballot nights, providing a welcoming space for members to register, engage with local elected officials, and complete their ballots. With less than 20 days until what could be the most important election of our lifetimes, it’s crucial for everyone to participate. Portland Brothers Keeper Graduation
This past week, the Portland Training Center celebrated the graduation of 11 participants from the inaugural Brothers Keeper Pre-Apprenticeship Program Class. The Brothers Keeper program is designed to reach a diverse range of applicants who embrace its three core principles: Hustle, Positive Attitude, and Punctuality. Through comprehensive Carpentry training and job placement assistance, the program not only educates participants but also equips them with the skills necessary to become effective trade workers in the labor market. With these new skills and opportunities, the future looks bright for these graduates as they take important steps toward building successful careers.
